About the Role
🚀 The YearOne Developer Advocate will be a critical member of our team as one of the community-facing roles at YearOne. We hope this role will be a launching pad for someone who is interested in expanding their skill set in public speaking, technical writing, and developer communications.
🔒 This role is currently open to YearOne Community Members (To join the developer community, please visit joinyearone.io)
Responsibilities
- Write. In this role, you’ll spend a good portion of time planning and writing helpful content for our community. We want to put out helpful and educational posts and articles for our members and the Dev Advocate will be flexing their technical writing skills to share information with the community.
- Code. Create code samples and demos for technical workshops. This role will coordinate with other YearOne team members to create code challenges and workshops to present to the community.
- Problem Solve. Answer community questions on the community platform and assist minor technical issues.
- Connect with Developers. Connect with industry leaders and engineers to source speakers for YearOne events. As an advocate for the YearOne community, you'll help build our network of speakers and workshop hosts, hopefully building your own network in the process.
- Advocate. As our dev advocate, you'll gather and bring back community feedback on our content, workshops, and platform. You'll bring these learnings to the YearOne team so we can create better content, give thoughtful talks, and build a better community.
